Our Legacy Since 1995
The Story of Warwick Ice Hockey
A tradition of excellence, community, and dedication to the sport.
Our Beginning
In 1995, a group of passionate parents recognized the growing popularity of local high school hockey. They took the initiative to enter a roster of players in the Spring/Summer session, marking the beginning of Warwick Ice Hockey. While not a sanctioned PIAA sport, the Warwick School District granted permission to use the Warwick name, leading to the creation of our unique logo.
This original design holds special significance in our history, still used today for "throwback" jersey games and was proudly worn during our historic 2019 Viola Cup Championship victory against West Shore (5-3).
Community Partnerships
Throughout our history, we've fostered strong partnerships with regional schools to ensure full team rosters. Our inaugural season featured collaboration with Manheim Central, whose students proudly wore their school's patch on our jerseys, exemplifying our commitment to inclusive community participation.
Legacy of Excellence
Our program has produced remarkable talent, including Trevor Lewis, who advanced to play in the ECHL and AHL after attending Robert Morris University, and Tyler Hostetter, who competed in the OHL with the Erie Otters before his ECHL and AHL career.
We take pride in our alumni returning as coaches, like Kyle Joseph (Class of 2015), a former CPIHL All-Star who later served as Assistant Coach during our 2019 Championship season.
Our Philosophy
At Warwick Ice Hockey Club, we believe in providing opportunities for players of all skill levels to represent their school. We understand the importance of allowing students to showcase their talents before family, friends, and peers, fostering a sense of pride and community spirit that has defined our program since its inception.
